backcountry
Theworldismovingtoofast. Make it all stop.

Just put one foot in front of the other.  Snowshoes or skis will
get you to places that most people never experience. We have
areas suited to beginner, intermediate, or experienced folks, and
all the room you need for peace of mind.

Bring your lunch and a camera.  Forests and glades are home to
many birds and other mountain wildlife.  Pack down a spot,
kick back in the warm sun, and listen.

With thousands of acres of pristine snowscape, your chances
of seeing someone else are so slim that you'd have better luck
finding two snowflakes alike.

For the beginning winter back country traveler,
we recommend:
Danny Carl Memorial Trail
Williams Creek Campground
Main Line Trail
Pumphouse Park/Henson Creek Trail
Round Top Mountain Road

Not all of these locations are groomed; some trail breaking may
be required.

As with any winter sport, make sure that you check on
avalanche conditions before you go, and let someone know
where you are going and when you will return.
